EXTRA: Erasmus eXperience for Sustainable TRAnsition ​

EXTRA project aims to foster cultural exchange, sustainable mobility (E+ Green Travel) and vegan lifestyle among 25 participants from diverse European backgrounds.

The project will be built around a 5 days experience in Anzio(Rome), combining 4 days of eco-friendly train travel and 5 days of interactive activities.

Activities:

• Welcome Seminar: Introduction to the project’s objectives, emphasizing the
  importance of sustainable practices and plant based living.
• City Exploration: Guided tours using eco-friendly transport to explore Rome’s cultural
  and historical landmarks.
• Workshops and Discussions: Climate fresk, green travel,green Erasmus, European Green
  Deal, and the benefits of a vegan lifestyle.
• Culinary Experience: Hands-on vegan cooking classes, promoting the environmental
  and health benefits of plant-based diets.
• Community Engagement: Collaborative projects with local organisations focused on sustainability and eco-conscious initiatives.

Results:

• Participants gain a deeper understanding of European cultures and the significance of sustainable living putting the EU sustainability agenda into practice, from green travel
  and beyond.
• Increased awareness of the environmental impact of travel, promoting long-term
  commitment to green transportation.
• Enhanced knowledge and appreciation for plant base lifestyles, encouraging
  participants to make informed dietary choices.
• Creation of a network of like-minded individuals committed to promoting sustainability in their communities through the output video and experiencing the slow Travel mode.
